This is my first harvest since becoming a homeowner this past June and it feels like such an accomplishment. I am planning my garden for the spring and this gave me a little boost of confidence. I had planned to plant wildflowers over our drain field but we were told not to plant anything there.

While many people choose to homeschool throughout the year to maintain a sense of routine and structure in their home, there are some who take the summer off. I do a mix of the two.

Last night, we found ourselves just down the street in a little town hall listening to a couple of local singers and songwriters. I saw that it was happening real close to home and immediately bought tickets despite it being later than the kids' bedtime.
