About Dr. Taylor
Hi! I’m so glad you’re here, and thank you for taking an interest in how Luna Wellness Co. came to be!
My career journey began back in high school where I ran cross country and track. Running was my passion. It was my identity. So when I developed an intense hip injury during my junior year, I was lost. I saw numerous specialists, but nobody could get to the bottom of my pain. Eventually I saw a sports chiropractor who utilized Active Release Technique, (ART) which had me back to running after my first appointment. This chiropractor took the time to really listen to me, and look at elements of my life, running style, and dug at the root cause of my injury. I now know that they were integrating and APPLYING what they had learned in school without getting stuck in doing everything “by the book”. This is where the art of high quality patient care lives - a blend of knowledge and experience, plus the critical piece - listening to, and observing your patient. This experience inspired me to pursue a similar career, one in which I could help people who felt like they had run out of answers.
I began my career focusing on the general population with a passion for working with youth athletes. My journey into motherhood started shortly thereafter, and I was launched into the world of pregnancy, postpartum, and infant development, and I realized that there was a lack of resources focused on the holistic experience of the body during this transformational season. I was inspired by my own journey to help others have a better, more enlightened experience in their own entry into motherhood.
In 2019 I opened Luna Wellness Co. to support and serve women in this magical season. I had a deep yearning to HEAR women because it was the very thing that I needed so badly in charting my own path. I knew that the key to a strong postpartum experience started at preconception.
At Luna Wellness Co., I work with women through the entire pregnancy journey, from pre-conception to postpartum, with a focus on the experience of both the mother and ultimately, her baby. I understand the transitions that the body goes through physically during pregnancy and postpartum and am passionate about guiding patients on how to optimize their physical and emotional capabilities in this phase of life. A mother’s ability to support themselves in this way leads to optimal outcomes for both mom and baby. I also understand how to optimize your infant’s entry into this world, helping their bodies unwind from the time in the womb, thus releasing tension that may be leading to symptoms like colic, digestive upset, latch issues and more.
As a mother of two children, my career has ebbed and flowed. There have been a series of pauses to slow down, focus on my own health, and pour into raising and homeschooling my children. I have learned that listening to my own needs as a mother, wife and practitioner allows me to empower my patients to do the same.
This is your journey and I feel honored to be a part of it.
